Hi everyone,
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’m not someone who asks for help, but I’ve reached a point where I truly don’t have any other options.
- I live with multiple serious health conditions, including lupus, chronic fatigue, congenital hypothyroidism, diabetes, connective tissue disease, bulging and degenerating discs, fatty liver disease, and ongoing spleen and kidney issues and several more Managing my health is already a full-time battle, and recently everything has piled on at once.
Right now, I’m facing overwhelming medical bills, falling behind on rent and essential bills, and struggling to afford necessary medications. We are dangerously close to losing our apartment — something I’m terrified of, because just two years ago we were homeless and living out of my car. I worked hard, got a job, and fought my way into stable housing without assistance, and I am desperately trying not to lose that progress.
On top of this:
• My dog still needs to finish her vaccinations and care
• My car is breaking down and needs repairs just to remain usable
• My partner, Jaime, lost several clients and was out with the flu this month, making it impossible for him to work consistently
Because of past credit issues from my 20s, I can’t access credit cards or emergency financing. Things have gotten so tight that I’ve had moments where I’ve fainted, but I’m afraid to even go to the hospital because I can’t afford it.
The funds raised will help me:
• Catch up on rent and essential bills
• Afford my medications and medical care
• Cover emergency housing costs
• Finish my dog’s vaccinations and care
• Address urgent car repairs so I can keep working
If anyone helps me, please know this isn’t something I take lightly. I fully intend to pay it forward or pay it back once I’m back on my feet. If you’d like repayment, you can include your email, and I will reach out when I’m able. Right now, I’m just trying to survive this moment.
I’m scared, overwhelmed, and doing my best to keep going. Anything — even sharing this — truly helps more than I can explain.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for any kindness you’re able to offer.
With gratitude,
Kimberly
