Hello Friends! Our old pal, bandmate, roommate, co-worker, etc., Kimbel St. James, finds herself with some serious health and financial challenges. After a two year battle with breast cancer, and finally beating it, she has now been diagnosed with stage 3 anal cancer. While the prognosis is good, it will take a lot out of Kimbel, physically, emotionally and financially. Kimbel missed a lot of work during her breast cancer treatment, and will miss even more during her anal cancer treatment. Her treatment will also require her to pay for housing closer to her daily doctors visits. I’m hoping we can all chip in so Kimbel can keep her focus 100% on getting better, and getting back to her job, family and friends. Kimbel has always been a person who brings joy and positivity to those around her, be it performing on stage with The Spit Muffins in San Jose, as a dental assistant in Portland Oregon and Mariposa, Ca., or as the friendly neighborhood clerk at High Country Health Foods in Mariposa, CA.
