Hello, my name is Kimberly Latrena Kemp. I am in need of financial assistance because I have finally become a candidate for a kidney transplant. I have two adult children who will be overseeing my recovery.
It all started in July 2008 when I woke up in excruciating pain. My hair was lying on my pillow, and I was experiencing extreme fatigue. I was devastated. I did not know what was happening, so I made an appointment to see my medical doctor. I explained to her what was going on. She ran blood tests on me and told me to make an appointment within two weeks. When I returned two weeks later, my doctor said I had Systematic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). At that point, still confused, I asked myself, "Why?" I now have something I had never heard of, so my doctor explained what was going on with my body. Basically, my body is fighting with itself! My doctor then referred me to a rheumatologist. I had to have four things happen, along with a series of tests before they diagnosed me with Lupus.
Before I could return to my appointment, I had a seizure. (That was really scary!) When I returned to the doctor, he said that the seizure was the fourth symptom that confirmed Lupus. I was devastated and unsure of what path to take. At that time, I had two kids finishing high school and was preparing my oldest for college. At that point, my life made a dramatic turn. I was diagnosed with SLE, high blood pressure, joint pain, and kidney failure.
In 2017, when I went to the doctor, he informed me the Lupus had progressed and begun to affect my kidneys; I was then placed on dialysis. Although I live an unpredictable life full of ups and downs, not knowing what my life will be like, I am a Firm Believer in GOD. I NEVER intend to lose my faith!!
I am seeking help and support for my financial expenses while recovering from kidney transplant surgery. I truly appreciate any financial help provided.
