Help Kim with Lupus treatment

Hi my name is Nicole Walter! I am fundraising for my beautiful friend Kimberly Ebner.

In March of 2021, Kim was diagnosed with systemic and cutaneous lupus, only after battling melanoma for the past few years. Her skin lesions are such that she is not really able to be in public due to the high risk of infection. She cannot wear regular clothes because everything bothers her lesions on her chest. Kim is a cosmetologist by trade. She is unable to work because she cannot lift her arms without her skin bleeding. And again, the risk of infection is so high that she cannot be around people. Her newest battle is that every single Dr. she has seen in the state of Colorado, has no idea how to help her. The Dr. ‘s she has seen have dealt with lupus, but it is lupus they have never seen before. She is in excruciating pain, and has been in and out of the hospital several times a month due to complications from the lupus. The last time she was in the hospital, the Dr. told her to not come back to that facility because they have no idea how to help her. She is currently looking into trying to get help through John’s Hopkins or Sloan Kettering hospitals. The downside is the cost of coarse. Traveling expenses, food, not being able to work, to name a few are all keeping her from seeking out care elsewhere. Lupus is a autoimmune disease, and is not the only one that she has. She is just unable to find help right now, and cannot afford most treatments. This is a urgent matter as they had to put her cancer treatments on hold due to the lupus.
