My name is Kim. My friends call me Kimmie. I’m raising money for the Bioness L300 Go devices for my left and right legs. They stimulate the nerves in my legs to help my feet lift up in a way they normally cannot. My insurance refuses to pay for them.

I have Cerebral Palsy from birth and have never been able to walk without an aid. The devices allow me to walk independently both on level ground and up stairs, both without a cane.

My doctors believe with some physical therapy and regular use of the Bioness, I will be able to retrain myself how to walk with a more normal walking pattern. I may even be able to run for the first time in my life

My hope is to learn how to run and raise funds for charity 5ks. I want to use what I have to give back.I also want to be able to walk and run with my dog Peanut without falling 

I don’t have a lot of money as I can’t drive due to my disability and right now I can only do online gig-work as an English tutor. It’s especially hard to find enough online work at this time. All my money, which I get paid about $1k monthly, gets put toward bills, and I have none left to save toward this cost of $7500. I’m unable to get any other aid.

If I am able to exceed my fundraising goal of $7500 I would use any remaining funds toward the gofundme fees, adapted driving lessons, and a vehicle so I can learn how to drive with my hands instead of feet.

It’s expensive to be disabled and I’m hoping this gofundme can provide me some relief.
