My name is Heather and Kim Covey is one of my dearest friends.  If you know Kim, you know she is a faithful friend and an amazing teacher.  She has always sought out ways to help others without asking for anything in return.   Now, we want to help her.  In February 2021, Texas was hit with a Winter storm like it has not seen in a very long time.  Our friend, Kim, has been hit extremely hard.   She is a widow with Stage 4 cancer and dealing with the side effects of chemo.  She has retired from teaching and lives on a limited income.  The pipes in her attic burst and flooded her entire home.  Her kitchen ceiling has fallen through.  She is living in a hotel room right now.  Plumbers and water mitigation companies are at least a week out.  While she is dealing with all of this, I felt that we could help lift some of the financial burdens while she waits for everything to fall in place.   Please consider donating to her during this difficult time and pray for her situation.   The funds will be used for lodging, food, gas, etc. as she navigates the next several weeks.
