Community Miracles for Kim Sion

Dear Community, Friends, Colleagues and Loved Ones, 

On Thursday, April 3rd, our beloved friend and soul sister, Kim Sion, drove herself to the Emergency Room after experiencing intense abdominal and back pain. What she thought might be a simple injury turned into the unthinkable: a diagnosis of early stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Kim is a single mother and a vital member of our community. Her two beautiful children, Nolan and Emanuelle are thriving. Kim’s son, Nolan, brought new life into the world 18 months ago and her granddaughter Jane is yet another light in her life. They are also looking forward to another grandbaby on the way in September!

*Who is this angel on earth?*

Kim isn't just a gorgeous woman inside and out, she is also a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Kim is also the sole care-taker for her beautiful 18-yr old daughter, Eman, who lives with the daily challenges of spina bifida. She is a natural caretaker who has intensely loved her people, and now her people are committed to loving her through the days ahead as she seeks treatment, determined to heal and continue her journey here with us. Intelligent, curious, playful, fully engaged in life. Kim loves a good belly laugh, is a committed and determined mother and advocate for those in need. She is also a skilled stylist, knitter extraordinaire, nature lover, and amazing chef - curating beauty and love wherever she goes. She's a true artist and life has always been her canvas! 

 

*Our Mission of Love*

 

This GoFundMe isn't just about funds. It's about supporting Kim through the network of love and community she herself has created. Although we don't know the full investment of the challenging days and months ahead, we know that to recover, Kim will stop working as a full time hair stylist to focus on healing. 

Her journey may include both traditional and integrative healing modalities, and we will of course need to help cover everyday living expenses, and travel. As a single non-working mother and caretaker, Kim will need our support to cover these treatment costs ahead.

Our goal is to get Kim back to leading a beautiful, vibrant and healthy life, so that she can thrive and continue to help her daughter in her next stages, so that she be here to watch her grandchildren, laugh, play, and grow.

Kim has a very deep faith in God and believes she will never walk alone. We will end with a profound statement that Kim made while already massively shifting her perspective of life and this new healing journey ahead . . .
