Help Kim mourn her Dad without the extra stress

Hi, my name is Bonnie. I am starting this fundraiser for my close friend Kim Hogan. She suddenly lost her dad Michael Hogan. If that is not devasting enough...she is also the one that holds all the responsibility in taking care of his affairs. Kim is a single mom of two and also raising her 4yr old nephew. She is an amazing nurse who is always helping others before herself. Never would she ask for help or make her problems somebody else's. In a situation where we can't take away the pain or heartache, we can at least help with the burden of all these unexpected costs.

Her dad passed in his apartment and only found after a wellness check. The site traumatizing on its own. His landlord has been so callous and cold towards her and the situation. Her dad doesn't have possessions of monetary value in the apartment, yet sentimental value to his children. The landlord initially wouldn't allow them to retrieve any of his belongings. After the involvement of law enforcement, the landlord has agreed to let them get their dad's belongings only after they gut and clean the apartment.....more costs. Her dad was a veteran but they will not help with expenses because he wasn't in a veteran hospital. ( I don't understand that logic myself). With the funeral home costs, dumpster rentals and etc for the apartment, gas and travel expenses, and missing days from work to deal with this, Kim is an emotional wreck and drowning in expenses.

I know she will be appreciative of any donations. None being too small. She is so deserving of this help. She needs to be able to mourn her father's death and not have to worry about all this debt. I will make her beneficiary of this account. Therefore, she will have no choice but to put in her banking information or all donations will be refunded by Gofundme.
