Many of you know Kim and Joe McCarty from their Puppy Rescue Mission adoptions, and Kim founded ‘Travel to the Rescue,’ a FB group dedicated to rescue dog/cat transport.

Kim recently suffered a major cardiac event—a heart attack after she had just been to the cardiologist and got a clean bill of health.

Joe was a full-time fireman and paramedic until a serious medical event several years ago, caused by a call he was deployed to, rendered him medically disabled.

In March, when he had an incident of Transient Global Amnesia, his license was suspended, stating he had a seizure, but the doctors never did any testing. He goes to PT/OT/SPEECH Therapy plus all his other appointments from all the strokes (5).

Kim had a heart attack on Tuesday, 6/24, from negligence at a hospital (she sat for 9 hours in a room in the ER after a botched intubation). She is out of work for at least a month, maybe more, with irreparable heart damage and has no time at work due to using it all for Joe when he was sick the last 4 months.
