Help Kim Hoang Recover from Lung Cancer
Donation protected
After more than 26 years of building a small business from the ground up, Kim is now facing one of the biggest challenges of her life both physically and financially.
Recently, Kim was diagnosed with lung cancer, and doctors determined that the best course of action was to surgically remove her upper left lung. This life-saving operation is a major procedure that comes with a difficult recovery period of at least six weeks.
Her Procedure will take place in the middle of June, The photo you see in the profile is her during her biopsy to determine what she has.
As a small business owner of Kim's Tailor & Bridal, Kim has poured her heart, soul, and countless hours into her work. She’s rarely taken time off, always putting her customers and her business first. Now, for the first time in decades, she’s being forced to step away not by choice, but by necessity.
During her recovery, Kim won’t be able to run her business or earn an income. At the same time, the financial burden of surgery, follow-up care, and insurance costs is overwhelming. Her out-of-pocket maximum has already been reached, and yet, there are still more bills coming in. Her insurance premiums alone are sky-high, and with no income during recovery, it’s becoming harder and harder to stay afloat.
This GoFundMe is to help cover:
Medical bills not covered by insurance
Daily living expenses (rent, utilities, groceries)
Business-related costs during her absence
Recovery support, including medications and follow-up visits
Kim is a fighter, a hard worker, and someone who’s always given to others. Now, she needs help from her community to make it through this difficult chapter.
If you’re able, please consider donating to support Kim on her road to recovery. Every dollar helps relieve the pressure so she can focus on healing and eventually getting back to the work and life she loves. If you can't help financially, then please help her in prayer.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
This message comes from her son. I had to convince her to let me share her story because she’s always been someone who puts others first and never asks for help. I reminded her that there are kind-hearted people in the world, people who are willing to lend a hand when someone truly needs it. She doesn’t have to face this battle alone.
My mom is one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever known. With the growing financial burden hanging over her, I worry that she’ll try to return to work before it’s safe simply because that’s who she is. She’s always been strong, independent, and determined, even at the cost of her own well-being.
So I’m kindly asking for your help not just to ease the financial strain, but to give her peace of mind. With your support, she can take the time she truly needs to rest, recover, and heal without fear or stress. Every bit helps, and we’re deeply grateful for your generosity and compassion.
