Kimberly Baltos Update – Eleven Months Later

Hello friends, family, coworkers, and supporters,

It has been nearly eleven months since we first created this fundraiser, and we felt it was time to provide an update on Kimberly's journey and express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported her along the way.

First and foremost, thank you.

The generosity, prayers, encouragement, donations, cards, messages, and acts of kindness we received during the early months of Kimberly's recovery helped carry us through one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. Your support helped offset the loss of income while Kimberly was unable to work and focused on healing from multiple surgeries, treatments, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Today, we are blessed to share that Kimberly is doing well.

Since her kidney cancer diagnosis in October 2024, the removal of her left kidney in November 2024, the discovery of a metastatic brain tumor, the hemorrhagic stroke she suffered on Memorial Day 2025, emergency brain surgery, radiation treatments, rehabilitation, and ongoing immunotherapy, Kimberly has continued to move forward one step at a time.

She has returned to work at Woodbury Wellness and is once again doing what she loves most—caring for others. Anyone who knows Kimberly knows that helping people isn't just her job; it's who she is. Being able to return to her residents and coworkers has been one of the greatest victories of this journey.

While we are incredibly thankful for how far she has come, the medical journey is not yet over.

Kimberly continues to receive her Keytruda immunotherapy treatments and undergoes regular MRI, CT, and follow-up scans to monitor her progress. The good news is that her most recent scans continue to show stable results, and we are grateful for every positive report.

However, as many families who have faced cancer know, the expenses don't simply end when the surgeries are over. We continue to receive new medical bills, scan costs, treatment-related expenses, specialist visits, and other out-of-pocket obligations that insurance does not fully cover. We have now entered the phase of managing "our part" of those ongoing costs while continuing to move forward with her care plan.

For those who have asked if donations are still helpful, the answer is yes. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps ease the burden of these continuing medical expenses and allows Kimberly to focus on staying healthy and moving forward.

Perhaps the most beautiful part of your support is that it reaches far beyond our household. By helping Kimberly continue her recovery and maintain her treatment plan, you are also helping the many residents she serves every day. The care, compassion, smiles, and encouragement she gives to others are possible because she has been blessed with a community that cared for her first.

We remain humbled by the love shown to our family and thankful for every person who has walked alongside us during this journey.
