Help Kim Get Her Independence Back

Hi Everyone! Kim needs our help!! Kim is an AMAZING friend, daughter, aunt, co-worker, & so much more to so many people. She is the first to reach out when someone needs help or is going through something...she is always thinking of others and putting other people first....And now it's our chance to be there for Kim....
As many of you know, Kimberlee has been going through some health issues for the last several months. She has been diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy-CIDP. This means that she has a lack of feeling and use of her hands and feet. She also has difficulty walking and using fine motor skills such as writing. She attends PT and OT several times a week and through ALOT of hard work & determination, she has made amazing gains and progress. She can now walk short distances with no assistance, but for the most part relies on using a crutch on one arm for support.
Kim has been very fortunate to have her rehab therapies and treatments (IVIG) covered by her insurance.
However, there are some really important things NOT covered by insurance that Kim needs to continue her journey to regaining her independence and returning to work this Fall.
Kim has been unable to drive due to the lack of feeling in her feet. She has begun taking adaptive driving lessons and would need to have adaptive equipment (hand controls) put into her car in order for her to be able to drive again and return to work. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover ANY of these expenses...not equipment or lessons...
She will also need to have a motorized wheelchair to help her with accessibility (and stamina) while at work. The cost of this chair is only partially covered by insurance.
Let's help Kim reach her goals of regaining her independence and returning to work by offsetting some of these expenses! We've only got about a month before school starts and Kim will be heading back to work so let's help her get there!! Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
