In the past two years Kim has lost her sister, adopted her sister's son, Javi, and moved her 92-year-old father from Toronto to Brookline to look after him. Kim is 68 years old. On September 30th, she dislocated and broke her ankle while walking her dog due to poorly maintained municipal infrastructure. Now the delicate balance of her life: raising a teenager, caring for her elderly father, and working full time has been thrown off. Doctors say she'll be off her feet (and potentially out of work) for 6 weeks. She really needs your help!

Before the accident, Kim managed two households in parallel. Every day making sure her father is wearing clean clothes, taking his medication, and completing his daily exercise. Every day she also makes sure Javi is getting to school on time, doing well in his classes, and completing his schoolwork. On top of that, she takes care of her energetic dog Pinto, who needs a lot of exercise. She shops and cleans for both her and her father's apartments and somehow manages to cook dinner for herself, Javi and her father every night.

These funds will be used to cover medical expenses and to cover the cost of living during the period she is out of work.
