At the end of April 2024, I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. My parents have been by my side every step of the way, helping me get to my treatments and supporting me through the hardest days. But on December 2nd, everything changed. After coming home from radiation and chemo, my dad called for help because my mom was having what we thought was a stroke. It turned out to be seizures, and she’s still in the hospital as doctors try to find the right medication. She’s struggling to communicate, and it’s been so hard to see her like this.
With my mom in the hospital and my dad focused on her care, I’ve lost the help I depended on for rides and gas money to get to my treatments. My boyfriend has tried to help, but the weather has kept him from working much, and the bills keep coming. I’m now behind on my house payment, my electric bill is due at the end of the month, and I need gas money to finish my last 8 days of radiation. I don’t know what will happen after that, as there may be more doctor appointments ahead.
I’m reaching out because I need help to get through these last days of treatment and keep my home and utilities going. I am so grateful for every person who has helped, donated, or prayed for us. Your kindness means more than I can say. If you can’t donate, please send up a prayer for us. Thank you all so much for your support and love.
