Kim is my lifelong friend, and she has shown incredible strength through some of life’s toughest battles. Several years ago, she survived a double mastectomy after her first cancer diagnosis. Now, she’s fighting lung cancer, and the journey has been anything but easy. Her income has been limited, not only because of her health, but also due to the challenges in her work as a Mortgage Specialist. Despite these obstacles, Kim became a homeowner on her own about eight years ago—a testament to her determination and independence.

Recently, Kim discovered mold and mildew growing in her home, likely caused by a leak in her master shower. The master closet backs up to the bathroom, and the persistent leak has created an environment where dangerous mold has taken hold. Kim’s breathing problems have become horrendous, and we believe the mold is making her illness even worse. She had a company assess the damage, and the cost for just the remedial work is significant. That doesn’t include the expense of replacing drywall, flooring, or redoing the shower once again.

Kim is facing mounting medical bills, home repair costs, and the emotional toll of fighting for her health and her home. PLEASE, if you can give monetarily, do it now.
