My name is Kim, and I’ve always been the person to help others when they needed it. Now, I find myself in a situation where I need to ask for help. I was recently diagnosed with stage 2.3 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. After 4/30/26, I will no longer have medical insurance, and I’ll be off work for at least six weeks as I begin treatment. I work part time and receive social security, but it’s not enough to cover all our bills. My husband also receives social security, but his entire check goes toward our house payment.
We’re struggling to keep up with basic expenses. We are 75 days behind on our car payment, and this is our only vehicle. I need gas money to get to and from my medical appointments, and we’re also behind on our electric and water bills. The water bill is especially high right now because we just had to fix a leak. On top of that, we recently had to buy a battery for our tractor so we could mow our overgrown yard. It’s been hard to keep up with everything.
To everybody that can help, thank you very much. I normally don’t ask for help, but we truly need it this time. Your support will help us keep our car, pay for essential bills, and make sure I can get to my treatments. Any help you can give means the world to us.
