Help Kim Dung in Her 3rd Cancer Battle and Stroke Recovery

Hi, my name is Kim Anh Tran, and I’m the daughter of Kim Dung Tran. I’m creating this GoFundMe to support my mom and our family as she faces Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer.

At the beginning of April, what began as a stomach virus and headache quickly turned into a medical emergency. After two nights in the ER, my mom fell into a coma. Doctors discovered a brain tumor pressing against her brain, which had caused a stroke. After undergoing emergency brain surgery, we received the devastating confirmation: the tumor is cancerous.

This will be my mom’s third fight with cancer. She overcame colon cancer in 2019, and again in 2021. Now, she begins another fight—with radiation treatment ahead and physical therapy to help regain strength on her left side, which was weakened by the stroke.

We’ve been in the hospital for nearly a month at UW Medicine, and she has now been transferred to a rehabilitation center in Federal Way. Since day one, our family has been by her side 24/7—doing everything we can emotionally, physically, and spiritually. But we are also emotionally and financially exhausted.
