I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my four children as we try to move forward after several incredibly difficult years. For a long time, I did everything I could to hold my family together while living through a marriage that became increasingly unhealthy and, at times, abusive. Leaving was not simple, and rebuilding our lives after that separation has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. When I left, I did not have a financial cushion or an easy path forward. I left with my children, a lot of uncertainty, and the overwhelming responsibility of starting over from the ground up.

Since then, I have spent the last several years doing everything I can to protect my children while navigating divorce and custody proceedings, working, parenting, paying bills, and trying to create stability for our family. I have already paid approximately $9,000 in legal fees, and I still owe $2,500, with the possibility of another $4,000 if the case goes to trial. The support from this fundraiser will go toward these outstanding and possible upcoming legal fees, helping me continue this process and move us closer to a safer, more stable future.
