Help Kim Bring Smiles to Kids in the Philippines
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kim DiSanto and I have been a nurse for 34 years. Most of my career has been spent caring for fragile infants and children. Throughout my career, some of the hospitals I have worked include The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (Newark Beth Israel Hospital, NJ), Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital (New York City, NY), Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (RWJ Hospital, NJ).
The Pages Hope Philippine Foundation (Philippine American Group of Educators and Surgeons) was established in 1990, and has been offering medical mission trips to the Philippines to aid families and children suffering from birth defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate. The mission of this foundation is to provide medical attention to underserved communities. To learn more about the foundation, their website is: https://pageshope.com/about
I joined Pages Hope Philippine Foundation in February of 2024 and I will be going back to the Philippines again in 2025 to support small children and young adults affected by cleft lip and cleft palate, requiring surgical intervention. Our team at Pages Hope Philippine Foundation includes a multidisciplinary group with surgeons, physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, medical examiners, technicians, and support team members who travel from all over the world to volunteer their expertise. When I went to the Philippines in February of 2024, I noticed the impact of our services on the lives of others. Seeing past patients that the Pages Hope Philippines Foundation treated, I was able to see their gratitude and appreciation of the care that the team provided.
This fundraiser is created to raise money to support the Pages Hope Philippine Foundation for our upcoming mission trip in February 2025. This money will go towards comfort and support to our patients. Some of the items we are looking to purchase include toys, blankets, sheets, liquid Tylenol, snacks, Mayo stands, and suction tubing.
Thank you so much for your support, any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!
