Please help support our dear friend, family member and colleague Kim Bui. Kim was diagnosed with stage three Nasopharyngeal Cancer June 29. 2021. It is a rare head and neck cancer found mostly in the asian community. She first discovered a hard lymph node on her neck of the same side of the diagnosed area of her nasal cavity. After going to several doctors, the cancer was found in a later stage and as a result had to endure very aggressive treatment protocols of radiation and chemotherapy.

She started her treatments on August 3rd and completed 33 radiation and six chemotherapy treatments thus far. Since this is a rare and aggressive type of cancer, she is also required to complete an additional three months of chemotherapy. The second phase of the treatment entails receiving chemo through a chest portal for four consecutive days, taking a three week break, then repeating said process three more times. The treatments are excruciating and leave Kim physically and emotionally depleted. More treatments may be required depending on the success of the outcome.

Kim has both health and supplemental insurance but still cannot meet the financial obligations of the astronomical copays her insurance does not cover. Please help give what you can when you can so this stressful burden for Kim can be eased as she endures and recuperates from this horrible disease. No one should have to choose between paying medical expenses or buying food and necessities. Kim is a very kind and generous person who has always gone above and beyond for her family, friends and career.
