In December 2014, my aunt, Kim Anh Tran was diagnosed with stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer. That is the cancer of the nasal cavity. Unfortunately chemo and radiation therapy did not work and the cancer has spread to other part of her body. Additional surgery and Cyberknife treatments to remove complex tumors have proven to be non -effective. The health challenge ahead for my aunt is so daunting, but she always maintained positive outlook.
These past two years have been difficult for the people closest to her, as she has undergone multiple surgeries and treatments. Despite the doctors' best efforts, advanced stages of cancer can be unpredictable. The family is also facing financial hardship. Through this hard time my uncle, Nhan Le, and their two sons have stayed optimistic. There is still so much hope and light in this family and it hurts me to see them struggle through this time.
I am starting this GoFundMe page so that close friends, family, and kind hearted Samaritan can help support this hardworking and loving family through their arduous road ahead.
They came to America 12 years ago, working 3 jobs each, just to pursue the American dream. I want to keep this dream alive for them.
Two years of medical bills and loss of dual income has created a large burden for Kim Anh and Nhan. During this time I want my uncle to take care of his wife and focus on her wellbeing.
