Help Us Stay Afloat After a Life-Changing Car Accident
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits. In mid-March, my fiancé was in a serious car accident that left him with a tibia plateau fracture — a painful and complicated injury that has completely upended our lives. He’s been unable to work since the accident, and even though he used all of his vacation time, he still has weeks to go before he’s cleared to put any weight on his leg.
His car was totaled in the crash. While insurance is providing some help with medical bills, the payout for everything else is extremely slow, and not enough to replace the vehicle. We’re also dealing with extra delays with other forms of assistance. On top of that, the disability benefits he qualifies for haven’t started coming in, there's no telling when they will, and they’re nowhere near what he would earn if he were working.
As time passes, our savings are being stretched thinner and thinner. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but we’re now facing the real possibility of falling behind on our mortgage. The stress is building — emotionally, financially, and physically.
We’re asking for support to help cover the essentials: keeping up with bills, preparing for a safe, reliable used car once he’s healed, and giving us a bit of stress relief so he can focus on healing. He’s been stuck inside for weeks now, and we’re both just trying to get through this storm with hope and determination.
We know this is just a season in our lives, and we believe things will get better. But right now, we could use a helping hand. Any amount helps, and we are incredibly grateful for your love, prayers, and support.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and standing with us.
With love,
Kim and Tim
