Hello everyone,
On November 5th, 2025 we’re trying to move from Colorado back to Minnesota, where Marcus’s family and support system are, but we can’t cover all of the moving costs on our own. We need your help!
My partner Marcus and I are both disabled and living with chronic illness. My work hours have been reduced for a while now, and with bills and interest charges piling up, we’ve been struggling to make ends meet and save for the move at the same time.
Here’s a breakdown of the main expenses we’re facing:
- Rental truck from Colorado to Minnesota: $1,000–$1,200
*UPDATED COST: $1300-1800
- Plane ticket for someone to help drive: $200–$300
- Hotel for one night: $100–$150
- 2-3 movers for loading/unloading: $350–$700
*UPDATED COST: $1300
- (If possible) apartment application fees, deposit, and first month’s rent: $1,200–$1,800
*ADDITIONAL COSTS: Due to SNAP benefits being cut, an extra $200 to help us with grocery expenses, since we were really depending on being able to use my benefits for one more grocery trip before the move and that is no longer an option
Altogether, we’re aiming to raise $4,000 to make this move possible. Any contribution will go directly toward these costs. Even a small donation or simply sharing this page would mean so much to us as we work toward a more stable living situation closer to loved ones.
Thank you for your kindness and support,
Killian & Marcus
