Help Killens after total loss in Eaton fire

January 2025: In a once-a-century windstorm event, the Killens lost their home due to the devastating Eaton Fire. Lindi's parents, who lived nearby, also suffered a complete loss. All humans and dogs were safely evacuated, but two tortoises and years of memories were not spared.

Current estimates have expect 24 or more months to recover, once the immediate crises are resolved.

Lindi is continuing treatment for recurrent melanoma as well as supportive services for teens Sonia and Gabe (formerly known as Grace). Navigating these things was adventure enough, and more challenge than most of us would endure as cheerfully as Lindi has! Now, when the comforts of home would be especially welcome, the Killens find themselves on the cusp of new "adventures" as they plan for life ahead, in a new-to-them home.
