My poor kitty, Killa, got hit by a car. If you know me, you know how much I love and care about my animals. On Saturday, Nov 3rd, I opened my back door to let the dogs out and I saw Killa laying in the yard and he couldn't get up. I rushed out to pick him up and saw that his back leg was broken. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I assume he was hit on our street. I immediately took him to the Emergency vet in Fairmont, since it was the only place open. Killa has been my homie for years and has always been apart of the house. He is more of a dog than a cat and he loves going outside and holding down the block. I found Killa as a kitten at a music festival in 2012, in southern WV. I instantly fell in love with his round face and I can't imagine losing him. I'm so glad that he isn’t hurt worse than he is but he, unfortunately, is 100% going to need surgery on his leg. As of now, I know that he has at least a broken ankle. My plan is to get him in somewhere ASAP that can do the surgery and get x-rays done, and then go from there. I don't expect to get all the medical bills covered through this, but anything, and everything helps! I don't know how much the surgery is going to cost, but I assume it's going to be somewhere between $1500-$2000 between what I have already paid for, x-rays, surgery, blood work and 48 hour care.
