Help Kiko Get his copy of his Certificate of Naturalization!

Hey there, my name is Kiko! I am asking my friends and family of choice to support financial efforts so I can get a certified copy of my Certificate of Naturalization. I need this document replaced so I may get a State ID in Maryland, where I have been hitting my stride and settling down into life. It's very important for me to have a State ID here so that I may fully exist freely and autonomously!

Members of my family of origin are currently withholding my Certificate of Naturalization and Birth Certificate from me claiming those documents are theirs because they purchased them.

I have been attempting to be no contact with them since last August due to failed attempts (from my end) at bridging gaps due to my gender identity since 2018. I have reached out several times attempting to retrieve and/or be sent these documents with either no response or met with very upsetting responses suchas a family member claiming the documents are theirs because they purchased them, that I can have them if I "ask nicely", and other attempted forms of control or manipulation.

Getting a State ID without a certified copy of my Certificate of Naturalization will be impossible because being that I was born in Ukraine, getting a copy of my birth certificate is also out of the question. I do not seek to take legal action as I don't have the means and am uncomfortable going that route.

Those who know me that I have worked extremely hard, particularly in the last 4 years, to heal from my past + get the life I (and that we all!) deserve...

I'm a very kind, fun, light-hearted human and all I want is to live freely.

Asking for money is a very difficult thing to do, as I typically ask for and capitalize on opportunities to make money (gig work, etc.) but in this instance, money would be the most useful as I cannot commit any more time to working as I settle here.

As I have settled here in Baltimore, I have joined a Baseball league where I'm healing my body, mind and spirit within community, have begun creating music again as a means of self-expression and healing, working at a growers market and coffeeshop, making healthy connections with like-minded and like-hearted individuals and of course, spending a ton of time in nature and continuing to balance the practices that have been integral in moving forward in my life! I am eternally grateful for those who empowered me to get here and those who continue to empower me. I love ya'll.

It would mean the world to me if you could donate whatever amount you can to support my agency to move forward with my life. You would only be supporting my right to exist freely. <3

The cost is coming directly from the USCIS website for the application I need to submit to have a Certified copy issued.

UPDATE: I received and transferred all the donations out of Gofundme and was able to submit and pay for the form to request a copy of my Certificate of Naturalization today (07/09).

I am hoping there are no issues and will keep everyone updated! I understand this is a very long (like months long) process. Expect updates here and/or on my social media.
