Help Kiersten Kick Cancer
Donation protected
On January 18, 2018, Kiersten Collins was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after finding a large lump on her neck. Recently, her oncologist conducted a PET scan and found no other areas affected except the several lymph nodes in her neck. She also had a bone marrow biopsy completed and it has come back clear!
The first of three chemo rounds begins on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Kiersten will then undergo additional radiation treatments. She is one of the toughest women on this planet and is ready and anxious to begin fighting back!
As you can imagine, Kiersten and her husband, John, have made many financial sacrifices and will continue doing so along the road to recovery. Due to the chemo/radiation, Kiersten's fertility will be impacted. Therefore, they immediately made the decision to freeze her eggs in hopes of giving their only child, Landon, a sibling in a future. This was a costly decision made in addition to the growing list of expensive scans, tests, and upcoming treatments. Not to mention their monthly bills that will continue needing paid while Kiersten's work schedule will fluctuate as she is in and out of treatment.
The Collins’ have a long road ahead and any donation made will help lessen the financial burden on the difficult journey.
We understand that not everyone has the means to make a financial contribution. So please consider sending or bringing them a home cooked meal through takethemameal.com
On behalf of Kiersten, John, and their families, we thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Keep them coming!
