Yesterday, during the surprise storm, our neighbor Kiera and her two children were in the family room when lightning struck a tree, causing it to fall directly on all three of them. They surprisingly were all okay, but all of their furniture and toys were destroyed. They are a single-income family, and this was obviously not an extra expected expense.
