Help Kiera's Family Rebuild After Devastating Crash
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
On May 22, 2025, our close-knit military community in Murphy Canyon was struck by an unimaginable tragedy when a Cessna 550 crashed into our neighborhood. While my own family was fortunate to only experience a temporary evacuation, someone very close to me—someone from my support village—was directly impacted.
Just two houses down from the crash site is the home of my dear friend Kiera. Kiera is a devoted stay-at-home mom to three young children (ages 3.5, 2, and 1) and the wife of an active-duty Navy sailor. They also have two beloved dogs who are part of their family. In an instant, their world was turned upside down.
Not only were they forced to leave their home without knowing when—or if—they’ll be able to return, but they also had to spend her son’s birthday and her own displaced and in limbo. Three days after the crash, they were allowed just a 4-hour window, under escort, to re-enter their home and gather whatever essentials they could fit into a rental car. Everything else, including their family vehicle and most of their belongings, remains inaccessible and deemed contaminated.
Since then, Kiera and her family have been living out of hotels and Airbnbs with no clear end in sight. As anyone can imagine, the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. Kiera would never ask for help herself, which is why I’ve created this fundraiser on her behalf.
If you feel called to support, please know that every donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward housing, food, gas, and basic necessities as they navigate this difficult transition and begin the long road to rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and for standing with this incredible family during their time of need.
With love and gratitude,
Jaz
