Help Kieran Harper recover from shoulder injury
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Maureen, Kieran's mom. Kieran begrudgingly permitted me to start this fundraiser after two months of pain, a missed diagnosis, and unpaid time off work. On June 20, Kieran was carrying a load of laundry up a flight of basement stairs and fell, which resulted in a dislocated shoulder. Kieran went to the emergency room three times over the next 12 days and it wasn't until the third time that the ER doctor examined the injury and set a path toward treatment and healing. After three sets of x-rays, an MRI, and seeing two different orthopedic surgeons, Kieran is finally in physical therapy with the hope of avoiding surgery.
Kieran has worked as an electrician's assistant for the last four years - a great job working with a great guy. But, as an independent contractor, Kieran doesn't have the luxury of paid time off or job security. When it became clear Kieran would need extended time off work (you can't be an electrician's assistant if you can't use your arm), he was let go. Kieran has been living off savings, but that only lasts so long. With many more weeks of PT ahead, Kieran could use some financial support to make ends meet. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
