Hi, my name is Holly Burns, and I am honored to be Mrs. Florida USA 2025. But beyond the title, I am a lifelong advocate for Type 1 diabetes awareness because this journey is deeply personal to me.

At just 5 years old, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, a condition that requires constant management, insulin injections, blood sugar monitoring, and lifestyle adjustments. Despite the challenges, I was blessed with an opportunity that changed my life: attending the Florida Diabetes Camp.

This camp wasn’t just about fun; it was a place where I learned how to manage my diabetes independently, count carbs, adjust insulin, and connect with other children facing the same struggles. But I wouldn’t have had this experience without the kindness of an anonymous donor who made it possible for me to go each year.

Now, I want to pay it forward—and I need your help!
