At Little Sensory Foundation, we believe that play is powerful—especially for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing challenges.
That’s why we handcraft and donate colorful, textured sensory rice to families in need across our community.
Many of the children we support are working on important developmental goals like:
• Tolerating new textures and materials
• Increasing attention and focus
• Practicing fine motor and grasping skills
• Expressing creativity and emotional regulation through play
Why sensory rice?
It’s simple, safe, and magical in a child’s hands. Our sensory rice blends are dyed in-house using non-toxic materials, then packaged with love and intention—ready to be poured, scooped, squeezed, or swirled in sensory bins. For many of our families, these materials are not affordable or accessible on their own.
Through donor support, we are able to gift these sensory experiences at no cost to families who need them most—because we believe every child deserves a chance to play, regulate, and grow.
Your donation helps us:
• Purchase rice, dye, containers, and packaging materials
• Create customized themes (e.g., “Dinosaur Dig,” “Calm Down Ocean Bin,” or “Rainbow Rice”)
• Distribute sensory play kits through local clinics, school programs, and family outreach events
$10 fills a bag of rainbow sensory rice for one child
$25 sponsors a full sensory bin starter kit
$100 helps us reach 10+ families with therapeutic play materials
This isn’t just rice—
It’s a gateway to calm. A moment of joy. A tool for connection.
Thank you for being a part of our mission.
Your support helps turn everyday materials into extraordinary moments of discovery and comfort for kids who need it most.
With heartfelt thanks,
