Due to Covid19, we've had to cancel our annual fundraising gala which is a significant source of revenue for Literacy, Inc., a non-profit whose mission includes creating a literacy-rich learning environment for
Pre-K and early grade school-age children within underserved communities in New York City.
We have invested in empowering parents and fostering an atmosphere of literacy in the home which is why LINC is uniquely positioned to provide support during this time.
While on-site programs are suspended to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, we are rolling out a calendar of digital programming and resources designed to keep children actively learning.
These programs and tools can help parents in need as they try to cope with potential job loss or to balance working multiple jobs as they seek to feed and help educate their children at home.
A crisis like this can fall hardest on those who are already fragile within society. Now more than ever they need our help. Any amount you can afford to give will be forever appreciated.
