Help Kids Feel Seen with Mental Health Books & Squish Toys
Donation protected
We're raising funds to print the hardcover version of Migs Mello and the Mysteries of Amygdala Land and to develop the first-ever Migs Mello squish toy — a cuddly brain-based hero teaching kids about big feelings, emotional safety, and self-worth. Every donation brings us one step closer to squishing the stigma around mental health.
Why This Matters Now
Emotional literacy isn’t a luxury — it’s a public health need. Our kids are overwhelmed, overstimulated, and under-supported — especially Black and neurodivergent kids. Many don't have the language to explain what they're feeling. That’s where Migs Mello comes in.
He’s not just a cute character.
He’s a brain-based buddy — a plush squish toy and book hero who helps kids understand why they sometimes yell, hide, cry, or explode. He shows them that they're not “bad” — their brain is just sending signals. And that with the right support, they can find their way back to feeling safe, connected, and in control.
✨ "When in doubt, squish it out!"
✨ "Squish the stigma."
These aren’t just catchphrases — they’re kid-friendly reminders that feelings aren’t scary… when you understand them.
We’ve already written the book, designed the first Migs prototype, and built out a curriculum for schools and therapists.
Now, we need your help to:
✅ Print a run of hardcover books that kids can hug, mark up, and read again and again
✅ Develop the first Migs Mello squish toy to go with the book (it’s therapy in a hug!)
✅ Provide sponsored copies of the book + toolkit to schools, families, and therapists who need them most
This isn’t theory — it’s a movement of “enough-ness” for kids who’ve been told they're too much.
