Aloha everyone!

My name is Creelyn, I'm one of Kiana's older sisters. Kiana was recently diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis. Avascular Necrosis is a rare disease, commonly found in 40 - 50 year old men. Avascular Necrosis is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. It's affected her hip and shoulder joints. Over the last year, Kiana has been in chronic pain in both her hips and shoulders. We weren't sure why but now we understand. The doctors really aren't sure what caused this for her but have been running many tests to get to the bottom of it.

On May 17th Kiana is scheduled to get Bilateral Total Hip Arthroplasty (Simultaneous Hip Replacement). She will be in the hospital for a few days for rehabilitation and after will have to go through physical therapy for a while. Then in three months, she will need the same surgery but for her shoulders. I've set up this gofundme to help with her surgery costs, as well as anything else she might need while she is in surgery and recovery. She will be immobile for a little while and unable to work.

For those of you who know Kiana, you know how active she was. Growing up she played every sport imaginable and danced. It pains me to see her so immobile and in pain, but I'm happy she'll be getting the relief she deserves. She's only 23 years old and has been diagnosed with such a rare disease. However, she is strong, keeping her head high, and is trying not to let this get her down. I just want to make this as easy as possible for her and help alleviate any stress.
