Hi, my name is Kialei, and I’m raising funds to help make my dream of studying abroad in Europe through the CIEE program possible this summer. Being accepted into this program means so much more to me than just the chance to travel—it’s an opportunity to grow, gain independence, and experience the world in a way that simply isn’t possible from a classroom at home. I’ve always believed that real learning happens when you step outside your comfort zone, and this program gives me the chance to do exactly that.

I chose to study Architecture and Culture because I’ve always been fascinated by how different cultures express themselves through their cities, buildings, and traditions. Walking through places filled with history and seeing how people live in different parts of the world will help me better understand cultures beyond my own. I also hope to become a psychiatrist, and experiencing life in different cultures will help me better understand how people’s backgrounds, communities, and environments shape their experiences and mental health. I know this opportunity will broaden my perspective and help me become more compassionate and understanding in my future career.

While I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, the cost of the program is a challenge. I’ve been working hard and looking into every funding option possible, but I still need help covering expenses like tuition, housing, travel, and daily living costs.
