Help Kia and her kids recover from the fire
Donation protected
Early this morning a 2 alarm fire broke out in my dear friend's apartment building, one floor below where she lives with her twin teens. Kia and her kids escaped safely, only needing treatment for smoke inhalation, but they have lost their home and almost all their possessions. It wasn't until 5 hours after the fire broke out that they found out from a neighbor their 2 cats had survived.
They have lost almost everything: clothes, books, school supplies, phones, computers, the art on the walls, their childhood toys, photo albums, furnishings, and their home for the last 30 years - their whole lives for the kids. While we can't help with the memories, I hope we can help with the basics of life.
My friends and I want to get these 3 wonderful people clothes on their backs, basic tools for work and school, and start them on the road to a new home. Please donate to this fund to turn a catastrophe into a blessing.
