Help Khloe Overcome Her Kidney Infection

Hi, my name is David and I started this go fund me for my precious little girl, Khloe. Khloe is my 14 & 1/2 yr old Min Pin who recently fell ill with a kidney infection. On Monday, June 16, 2025 Khloe had dental work done. Prior to this day her Kidneys were just fine. I had her bloodwork done 1 week prior and the vet said there were no issues with her kidneys and her numbers were excellent. My vet never bothered to tell me based on Khloe’s age the anesthesia could have a negative and harmful impact on her kidneys.

After the dental work Khloe was fine until the afternoon of Sunday, June 29, 2025. When I came back from a short day away she was noticeably different. I brought her to the vet the next day and they said Khloe had Vestibular disease, often called "old dog disease which is non fatal. My vet never ran any blood tests. Had they run her bloodwork she would have seen something was wrong with Khloe’s kidneys. Instead, they sent me home and said she’d be fine in 72 hours. I called every day saying she wasn’t getting any better and not eating. All they did was give me some medication for nausea and a food enticement. I brought her in Thursday, July 03, 2025 and my vet finally ran blood tests and found out she had Kidney disease and a UTI. She has been in and out of the emergency vet twice as a result. Her numbers will go down but her Kidneys aren’t healing at this point.

I’m so frustrated with my orginal vet. She never warned me of the dangers of anesthesia on an older dog, didn’t properly evaluate Khloe when I originally brought her in. Her incompetence has nearly cost Khloe her life, cost her at least 1 good kidney, and put me in financial debt not to mention the heart break.

I took Khloe to the best vet in Bakersfield today (July 21, 2025) and I finally feel like there is real chance to save her life and get her levels under control. I sent the vet all the paperwork from the emergency vet prior to our visit and the new vet already had a plan of action ready upon our arrival. She did do bloodwork today as well as X-rays and a urinalysis. My vet was able to determine Khloe appears to have one kidney that is in pretty bad shape but the other looks to be just fine. Khloe only needs one kidney to live so it sounds like we will be coming up with a medical plan to focus on the one good Kidney. This has been so very difficult for me and I’m praying this will work. Khloe is a fighter and so am I. ❤️

Khloe’s medical bills have ballooned to up to nearly $10k and are still rising. I am humbly asking if you could find it in your heart to donate and help me with her medical bills. This isn’t easy for me to ask but I’m desperate. Anything would help. Thank you!!!
