Help Khetam, Mohammed, and Sila Evacuate Gaza to Safety

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Maggie Ogden. I am a registered nurse in the United States. I went to Gaza on a medical mission and worked alongside Khetam and her husband, Mohammed, in the ICU. They are both caring, hard-working, and courageous humans. We have set a target amount of $50,000 to help Khetam's family evacuate from Gaza and start anew in a safer environment. This amount includes the necessary funds to cover the expenses of relocating six individuals, including the $5,000 required by Egyptian authorities for each person to enter Egypt, as well as accommodation costs for approximately six months to provide the support they need during this critical transition period. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in providing them with the resources they need to begin this journey toward a brighter future. Together, we can offer Khetam, Mohammed, Sila, and their extended family the chance to rebuild their lives free from the constant threat of violence and instability. Let us show them that they are not alone and that there are people around the world who care about their well-being and want to help. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign and sharing it with your network. Your generosity will make a tangible difference in helping Khetam's family start anew and build a better future for themselves. In Khetam's own words...

Dear Friends and Supporters, I hope this letter finds you well, but I am writing to you today with a plea for urgent help and solidarity. My family has endured unimaginable hardship in the wake of the recent Gaza conflict. Our home was destroyed by IDF bombing, tragically claiming the life of Mohammed's father. Now, my husband and I, our one-year-old daughter Sila, Mohammed's mother, and three brothers find ourselves in a desperate situation, with our future uncertain and our safety at risk. As registered nurses, my husband and I have dedicated our lives to caring for others, even amidst the chaos and danger of war. We need your support more than ever as we seek to rebuild our lives and secure a safer future for our family. I come to you with a heavy heart and a plea for assistance in the face of dire circumstances. My family and I find ourselves trapped in the midst of conflict and turmoil in Gaza, yearning for a chance at a new beginning, a life beyond the devastation that surrounds us. It is in this moment of desperation that I humbly seek your help, believing that together we can overcome the challenges that threaten our very existence and pave the way for a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity.

Allow me to introduce myself: I am Khetam Abu Sheha, a nurse, and my husband Mohammed is a nurse. We work in the intensive care unit at the European Hospital. I hope to work in America to develop myself, so I obtained NECLEX exam certification (American boarded) to practice in America. I embarked on a journey to serve my community and make a difference in the lives of those in need. To Work in America, I need an English exam. Before the war, I prepared to apply for it in Egypt to get out and go to America, but the war ended all my plans.

Despite my academic achievements and aspirations, financial constraints have hindered my progress, forcing me to pause my pursuit of traveling for work. Little did I know that the onset of relentless conflict would shatter not only my dreams but also the hopes and aspirations of my family and fellow Gazans.
I have a little girl, one and a half years old, named Sela, who needs a safe life like the rest of the children in the world

The loss of our beloved father-in-law during the war cast a shadow of grief over our household, leaving us to grapple with the harsh realities of life amidst chaos and uncertainty. My mother-in-law, a pillar of strength in the face of adversity, has shouldered the responsibility of raising 10 siblings despite her own health struggles exacerbated by the trauma of injury to two brothers.

I implore you to extend your hand in generosity and compassion towards us, as every contribution will alleviate our suffering and serve as a beacon of hope for a family striving against all odds. Your support will enable our courageous mother-in-law to access essential healthcare. As for me, your assistance will pave the way for me to resume my plan.
Your kindness and generosity will not go unnoticed or unappreciated. With your support, we can rebuild our lives and emerge stronger from the conflict. Thank you for considering our plea and being a beacon of hope in our darkest hour.

Thank you for your compassion and support.
Warm regards, Khetam Abusheha
