We, (@Kiko_n_aria [Dawn Sweeney] and @moosyathecat [Natallia Popelniukh]), are working together to help raise awareness and funds for small shelters in and around Kharkiv Ukraine. While big animal funds and shelters receive attention and help small shelters fall through the cracks and are often the last to receive assistance. There is an immediate need of funds to feed and treat animals and allow them to get the necessary assistance they need to survive in these hard times.
All collected funds will go directly to the following shelters that Nataliia (Moosya) has previously worked with:
- - Myagkie Lapki Shelter (50+ animals in house plus stray animals in Saltovka area) https://www.facebook.com/groups/124259301778602/?ref=share

Kharkiv, a heavily contested city on the eastern border of Ukraine and Nataliia's hometown, has been heavily shelled and bombarded since Feb 24th. This resulted in a disruption in supply chains (pet stores and vet clinics closed for a long time, some unable to reopen). Many mini shelters and animal volunteers in Kharkiv stepped up and are fearlessly saving animals under fire, trying to give them temporary shelter, food and treatment. Some of the shelters doubled and tripled in size, as can be seen in photos, to accommodate for the influx.
This is an opportunity for your funds to directly help these animals. Updates will be provided as money is distributed.
