Hello, my name is Khalid. I’m a nurse from Gaza, and I’m raising funds to move to Germany for a stable nursing job so I can provide for my family with dignity.

I chose nursing because I believe care changes lives—sometimes in small, quiet ways that no one sees. Over the past years, I’ve supported patients and their families through long nights and difficult moments. But in Egypt, it has become very hard to earn enough to cover rent, food, and school needs. A signed job offer in Germany (and the strong demand for nurses there) would allow me to work in my profession, grow, and send consistent support home.

But behind my personal journey stands my family. I have five sisters and my mother and father, who are still in Gaza. They are living under bombardment and in very difficult conditions, without safety or stability. There is no one else to support them but me. Every day, I carry the heavy worry of not being able to provide them with even the basics of life. The thought that I could secure a stable income and send them consistent help gives me strength to keep going.

Your help will bridge the last financial gap so I can complete the process: visa and document recognition, required German language certification, travel, and the first weeks of living costs until I receive my first paycheck. I’m ready to work hard and stand on my own feet; what I need now is a hand to cross this final step.
