We were blessed to go for Umrah last year and we met Br. Khalid from pakistan in Makkah, He was going back to support his family and an Orphanage after having worked in Saudi for some time. The Job did not pay much. He has a family with a paraplegic daughter. We had helped with another fundraiser with your generous support for medical bills for his paraplegic daughter and some support for the family. We have been in touch with br. Khalid for the past year, he has sent us photos/videos of the orphanage., which is in pretty bad shape, and very basic. There are 32 kids who
1. Live/ sleep in one room,
2. Br Khalid and the kids go to the Mandi(vegetable market) and do menial labor for 3-4 hours, then they come back and are taught Quran by br. Khalid and another brother.
The Orphanage gets by from br Khalid’s meager earnings at the Mandi and the local community, which is not very affluent, tries to help out. But it is not enough.
My Wife and I live in Gilbert AZ . We are trying to help br. Khalid secure a better place initially, so they can save the rent money and use it for food and to provide better living conditions for the 32 Kids at the orphanage.
May allah give this Orphanage Success and a better future for the kids Inshallah
What we take as granted for ourselves and our kids is a privilege for these kids.
The prophet Pbuh has said whoever helps, supports an Orphan will be close to him like 'he pointed out to crossed fingers' .
We are looking at this generous community to help out.
We are not from Pakistan, but can provide the address to anyone who lives in/around Islamabad and wants to visit, as this orphanage is in that vicinity and br. Khalid will welcome them with open arms.
These are our brothers and children in Islam. Please donate generously. Jazakallah Khair.
