Khaleesi is a young cat I took in from a friend, and she has quickly become a beloved part of our family. Over the past two months, she has faced serious health challenges, losing a significant amount of weight due to not eating. We have tried everything we can think of—different foods, treats, and even appetite stimulants, which only helped a little. Despite our best efforts, Khaleesi’s condition has taken another turn for the worse.

The vet now suspects that Khaleesi may have IBD, but getting a clear diagnosis is complicated. An ultrasound is being considered, though it may not provide all the answers, and a biopsy might be needed to fully understand what’s going on. These procedures, along with her ongoing care, are adding up quickly. We have already made multiple vet visits and faced significant expenses, but now she has stopped eating and drinking again. The next step is hospitalization, but our pet insurance won’t take effect until the end of the month. My husband and I are both working—I'm even working two jobs and trying to get into nursing school—but the mounting medical bills and our regular expenses are becoming too much to handle.
