Help Khaleelah Stay on Her Feet
Donation protected
As Salaamu 'alaikum,
Many of you know our friend Khaleelah. She moved from Atlanta to Columbus, Ohio many years ago and has always been an active member of our community. She used her skills at couponing and bargain hunting to help numerous families who were struggling financially. She has even opened her home to others in need. We also know that our sister Khaleelah has been tested with two car accidents that have left her right ankle very injured, to say the least. She does her best to push through, she keeps a steady job, and she even helps other sisters by giving them rides and distributing free items throughout the community. But, with Allah's permission, it's time for us to give back to her.
Khaleelah is a single sister taking care of herself, and recently she was hospitalized with severe ankle pain. The doctors realized she had a long-standing infection from her previous surgery that had been complicated by a recent sprain. She received a surgical procedure to clean out the bone and samples were taken. With Allah's permission, the best-case scenario is that she will recover and eventually return to normal if the antibiotics cure the infection. But she has missed one week of work already and will likely miss more, if she can even keep her job at all after this absence. She is currently being sent home with an I.V. port directly in her chest. Khaleelah will have even more mobility challenges than before, but her worst-case scenario is amputation.
Two weeks before this happened, Khaleelah's car broke down. This also could affect her future employment. So anyone who is able, please donate and spread the word to others. With Allah's permission, we can help her get her car up and running and get ahead on rent and bills. We ask Allah to grant Khaleelah good health and a successful treatment, and to keep her safe and secure.
May Allah reward all who help our sister Khaleelah and grant them relief when their turn to be tested comes. And may Allah bless and preserve you and all the Muslims.
Sincerely,
Umm Zayd
