Hello, i'm fundraising on behalf of a relative of mine, Khaled Al-Batroukh due to GoFundMe's restrictions not allowing them to post their story. I am based in Chicago and will transfer the funds directly to Khaled who is currently in Egypt where he will be able to receive the funds and help get his daughter through the Rafah crossing into Egypt.

They are facing unimaginable challenges in the besieged Gaza strip. Their home was damaged during the indiscriminate Israeli bombardment of Gaza and have spent the last 4 months moving from place to place. They are currently in a refugee camp just outside of Rafah and are not safe. There is nowhere safe.

A few days before October 7th, Khaled went to Egypt for medical treatment and has not been able to return. He is currently stuck in Egypt. He has a daughter, Mimi, in Gaza. She has down syndrome and has not been coping well. Khaled is needing to get her out of Gaza and re-unite with him in Egypt. Her older brother, Abdullah, will need to accompany her out of Gaza due to her inability to travel alone. Abdullah will likely not be able to return back into Gaza and therefore can't leave his wife and 4 kids behind so they would also need to come with him.

In order to enter Egypt through the Rafah crossing, you need roughly 5000-7000 USD for adults and 2500-5000 USD for children. That is just to get into Egypt. From there they will need assistance with living expenses, residency/rent, health care and therapy. Every dollar you donate helps them overcome the immense grief and suffering and gives them hope for a new beginning.
