Help Khaled and family survive and evacuate

Donation protected
This campaign is benefitting my friend Khaled Moammer, who has been displaced several times in Rafah along with his 6 family members. Khaled is a 22-year-old medical student who aspires complete his studies to provide desperately needed care for the people of Gaza. Despite the devastating and often terrifying conditions he's been living through, Khaled still shows up to volunteer at the hospital nearby several times a week, and possesses an incredible spirit of positivity and hope through it all. Our friendship over the last few months has been a true gift, and I am hopeful for a beautiful and peaceful future for him and everyone in Gaza.

You can find him on instagram at @ik7aledz.

Please read his story below and donate or share! Thank you for your support and solidarity.

Hello, I hope this finds you well, and thank you for your support. I'm Khaled, a 4th year medical student from Gaza. I attended Al Azhar University-Gaza for my studies, and it brought me immense joy to be able to pursue higher education in my hometown, surrounded by my family, without having to live abroad. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed, and my university and city have been destroyed. I find myself at a crossroads, with the difficult decision of how to move forward while leaving behind a treasure trove of cherished places and memories that have shaped me into the person I am today. These memories are brimming with every simple emotion one can experience in life, creating a tapestry of honor and sentiment that fills my heart.

Evacuating and completing my studies requires resources beyond my current means, and I am reaching out to you today with utmost humility, seeking your valuable support in raising funds that will help me escape the perilous circumstances in Gaza and pursue my education in a safe environment. My aspirations of becoming a doctor are not only personal but also driven by a deep commitment to serving others and making a positive impact on their lives.

Amidst the turmoil of the ongoing war, I found myself compelled to take action and contribute in a meaningful way. I have been volunteering at Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital, learning and trying to help as much as possible. Despite the chaos and uncertainty of this aggression, I have dedicated myself wholeheartedly to the task at hand, drawing upon the knowledge and skills I had acquired during my time at the Faculty of Medicine.

Working alongside a team of dedicated doctors and professionals, I have witnessed firsthand the immense challenges and hardships faced by the patients and medical staff alike. Every day has brought new lessons, as I have encountered a wide range of medical cases and experienced the intricacies of providing care in a resource-constrained environment. The experience has been both humbling and eye-opening, deepening my understanding of the vital role physicians play in times of crisis.

Rather than dampening my spirit, this trying period has only served to ignite my passion and ambition further. I have become acutely aware of the transformative power of medicine and the profound impact it can have on individuals and communities alike. The invaluable lessons and experiences I have gained as a volunteer doctor at Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital have fueled my determination to complete my education and become a proficient doctor. I am driven by the belief that through compassion, knowledge, and dedication, I can contribute to the well-being and healing of those in need.

Your generosity will not only facilitate my educational journey but also serve as an investment in the future of healthcare within our region. With your support, I will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals who are in desperate need of medical assistance. Your donation would serve as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path towards a brighter future where I can utilize my skills to help and uplift others. Through the pursuit of medical knowledge, I have learned a fundamental truth: darkness never lingers indefinitely.

Every donation, no matter how small, will be received with heartfelt gratitude. Your kindness and support will not only help me overcome the challenges I currently face, but will also stand as a testament to the immense power of unity and compassion.

For those who are unable to contribute financially, I kindly request your support in spreading the word about this campaign. By sharing it with your friends and networks, you can help amplify our message and reach a wider audience, increasing the chances of achieving our fundraising goal.

Your donations will be utilized for coordination costs, travel expenses to Egypt, and university fees, ensuring that every penny goes towards enabling my pursuit of education and a better future.
Help me to achieve my dream and to save my family.
Please help us, we are dying here.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration,
Khaled
