Help Keyedrya and Her Children Stay in Their Home
Keyedrya (pronounced kai-druh) is a beloved community organizer, solo parent of four, and the creator of the PEER Ambassador Program, an initiative that has trained and supported dozens of low-income parents in our region to become leaders and trusted community resources.
For years, Keyedrya has been showing up for others, creating space for people with lived experience to lead and making Franklin County a better place for families.
Now she needs our support.
Due to funding cuts, Keyedrya is being laid off, at a time when many local agencies are also facing budget shortfalls and jobs are scarce. As a single mom of young kids, she needs a job that offers flexibility, and that takes time to find.
In 2023, after more than a year in temporary housing, Keyedrya was finally able to buy a home for her family. She worked incredibly hard to get here, and we don’t want to see her and her kids lose their home.
We’re raising funds to help cover several months of mortgage payments and essential bills. This will give Keyedrya the breathing room she needs to find her next role and stay rooted in the community she’s helped build and strengthen.
Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world and not sure how to make a difference? This is a powerful, concrete way to help a mom and change-maker stay housed with her kids, and keep doing work that matters.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real impact.
Please give what you can, and share this with others who believe in keeping families housed, connected, and supported.
