On the morning of June 8th 2021, Keyani was on her way to work when the unthinkable happened. She was involved in an (at fault) near-fatal accident and was hit head-on by a tractor-trailer. She suffered multiple injuries including a broken arm, broken leg, punctured lung, and a head injury; which was followed by two surgeries. Because she was reporting to her second day at a new job, she has no health insurance. After being in the hospital for weeks, she will need to go to an inpatient-rehab for a few more weeks to aide in her recovery.
