My name is Emmanuel Jacinthe, and my wife Keyana almost lost her life.
On October 7, she woke up with her leg swollen from her ankle to her hip.
We rushed to Northside Hospital in Gwinnett, where doctors found a massive DVT running the full length of her leg and clots in both lungs that had been forming for days.
She went through two emergency surgeries, but a small clot traveled through a hole in her heart and caused a stroke, leaving her partially blind.
It took a team of specialists to save her life.
She spent 10 days in the hospital and will now be on lifelong blood thinners with months of rehab ahead.
We have no medical insurance, and both of us are on leave from Amazon — I’m her full-time caregiver while she recovers.
We’re raising money to cover hospital bills, therapy, medication, and basic expenses while we’re out of work.
Even a small donation or share means the world to us.
Thank you for helping us get through this.
