Help Kevin treat a finger fracture

Donation protected

Dear friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask for your help during a challenging time in my life. As a second-year Master's student at the New England Conservatory and a graduate of The Juilliard School, I am determined to pursue my musical aspirations. However, financial difficulties have plagued me for years, and this year, I even had to take a year off partially due to these hardships.

I recently fractured and sprained a finger in my right hand. Regrettably, I don't have my normal university-based insurance due to taking a year off, leaving me unable to afford the necessary medical treatment out of pocket. As of now, the doctors from my initial urgent care visit are urging me to seek out physical therapy and to get an MRI of my hand to see if anything beyond the bone was damaged. This is in addition to the follow ups needed with the original doctors who diagnosed me.

As a pianist, my fingers are vital to my studies, but I am currently unable to seek further treatment due to financial constraints. Due to the extremely precise nature of piano playing, an incorrect healing of the finger can potentially cause permanent damage that will significantly hamper my ability to play.

The ever-mounting financial burden has become an overwhelming obstacle. That is why I am reaching out, seeking your support to help me overcome these challenges and continue my pursuit of a musical career.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in my journey. By easing the financial burden, you will enable me to focus on my music and on achieving my goals.

If you are unable to contribute financially, I completely understand. Simply sharing this with your network would mean a lot to me. By spreading the word, you may connect me with individuals who are similarly passionate about music and willing to help.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

With much appreciation,

Kevin Takeda
